Let's Define It.
Financial advisors provide advice on a range of financial topics, such as investments, insurance, taxes, retirement, and estate planning. The key role of a financial advisor is to guide clients in proactively making decisions about their money.
A financial planner, specifically a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, is a type of financial advisor who has specialized training and certification to offer more comprehensive financial planning services and is held to a higher fiduciary standard.
Financial planning is all about looking at your current financial situation and crafting strategies to help you reach both your long- and short-term goals. Unlike a CPA, who primarily reacts to tax requirements or your annual income, a financial planner takes a proactive stance, helping you get ahead of the curve. They develop a comprehensive strategy to help you succeed in both the short and long term.

Our Process
We follow a 3-step process:
Everyone’s financial journey looks a little different, so we offer flexibility in how we work together:
✅ Ongoing planning
Long-term support, big-picture guidance, and a plan that evolves with you.
✅ One-time or focused sessions
Help with something specific (like budgeting, taxes, or big decisions) without committing to a full plan.
- For most people, the first step will be a virtual financial consultation.
- We’ll then collect recent statements from all of your finance-related accounts; this will give us a sense of the puzzle. We will also help you unpack things you might not realize are impacting your financial life.
- Through virtual appointments and our financial planning software system, we’ll link in your accounts and keep an eye on things, counseling you through the steps toward your goals.
