For at least the last decade, I have been obsessed with personal development and psychology—learning everything there is to know about our brains, our habits and behaviors, and how it all fits together to impact our decisions and our lives. Since earning my CFP® certification in 2020, I’ve been on a mission to figure out how we can help bridge the gap between financial strategy and creating a values-driven life to help people not only manage their money but truly live a life of fulfillment and intention.
My journey into finance wasn’t exactly linear. I grew up in Science Hill, Kentucky, in a family where money was always tight. That experience shaped my belief that financial knowledge isn’t just about wealth--it’s about freedom. Freedom to leave toxic environments, start a business, pursue passions, and create a life that aligns with who we truly are. In college, I originally pursued public accounting because I liked numbers and knew I wanted to own my own business(es) someday. But then, in my final year, I decided to add a personal finance minor purely for my own personal benefit and education. That’s when I discovered the CFP® designation and its holistic approach—and I knew I found my calling. I primarily specialize in working with fellow creatives, entrepreneurs, neurodivergent individuals, and those who feel chronically stuck or overwhelmed by money. I do so by helping them untangle their finances and find creative and simple solutions to their specific set of money challenges. At the end of the day, I firmly believe everyone is capable of creating the life they envision; sometimes we just need a little support in getting there. I am where I am today because a few people believed in me along the way (shoutout Eric Gibson!) – we want to be that for you. I now reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana with my fiancé, Tyler, and our three kitties. In addition to helping Allison with our clients at Thrive, I am also a Self-Mastery Guide for individuals who are ready to reconnect with their most authentic self, grow from the inside out, and live with greater clarity, purpose, and intention. |
